Requisition Number: S_200624 Department: FM&P Building Systems Maintenance-1004 Description of Work: This position reports to the department leadership and supervises the execution and implementation of plans, programs, and processes related to the department’s mission. As a Supervisor, this position will provide team leadership to personnel performing project, maintenance, and/or regulatory functions. Must be available 24/7 by personal cell phone to support daily operations and respond to campus emergencies. Minimum Required Qualifications: Associate’s Construction Management or Business Management or technical degree plus three (3) year's experience with the installation and troubleshooting of electrical and applying principles of electrical/mechanical engineering to electrical systems; Equivalent education/experience considered. Must have well-rounded technical background with electrical trade experience in project/construction or maintenance management and/or with commensurate construction supervision experience. Must have experience organizing and distributing workload in collaboration with other team members. Customer service experience also required. Must have leadership and project management skills. Must be able to demonstrate strong technical and/or maintenance background. Must have exceptional organizational skills, and willingness to learn and engage in complex processes. Must have the experience that proves the ability to prioritize a high volume of requirements. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have ability to analyze and interpret information, utilize critical thinking, exercise sound judgment, and make timely decisions and recommendations. Electrical journeyman license required. Must have a valid driver's license and meet UNL driver eligibility standards. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or Business Management preferred. Plus five (5) years' experience proficient with: medium (greater than 600V) and low (Less than 600V) voltage electrical distribution systems, motor control systems, separately derived electrical systems, lighting control systems, fire life safety and security systems, and grounding and grounded conductors desirable. Knowledgeable in both electrical code and theory preferred. Networking and business development experience helpful. Experience with supervising staff; prioritizing and distributing work assignments; performance management; team development; project management activities for maintenance and/or construction preferred. Construction Management or other management experience desirable. Familiarity with maintenance management processes and systems preferred. Experience with UNL's building automation system helpful. Familiarity with UNL FM&P design standards and associated guidelines desirable. Familiarity with UNL procurement procedures preferred. Staff development, performance management, leadership, team building, coaching, and mentoring skills helpful. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
