Deputy Director, Construction
Valley Metro
Position is open until filled with first review of applications on February 18,2021. The Deputy Director, Construction is responsible for leading the rail capital development program for Valley Metro's Capital Development Division. Typical duties include: overseeing rail capital projects to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, quality and timely delivery; overseeing preparation of the annual Rail Program budget and Five-Year Program to assure adequate resources are available to successfully carry out the program; managing and supervising staff and resources; ensuring strong communications and coordination between all aspects of highly-complex, major rail capital projects in the design and construction phases; and serving as key capital program liaison with Valley Metro member agencies, the Federal Transit Administration and other Valley Metro divisions. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and eight (8) years increasingly responsible experience in development of major public transportation projects; including five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties such as those listed. A Master's Degree is desirable. |
