The Director of Facilities Management is a highly responsible professional position requiring an ethical leader skilled in administration and supervision of the Facilities Management department.
The Escambia County Facilities Management Director plans, directs, coordinates, and supervises the activities of the Department which includes directing all maintenance, design, construction and renovations of county-owned and leased facilities, custodial services, and utilities.
Depending on the experience of the individual chosen as the Director of Facilities Management, the County is considering including real estate to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related field and six years’ experience in construction contract management which five years must be in a supervisory/ management position; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
Licenses & Certification:
Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence Certified Facility Manager (CFM) Certification or other Credentialing (BOMI, USGBC, LEEDS) is preferred.
