Direct facility operations, including all maintenance and repair of building and dentistry support systems, and oversee construction project activities to ensure safe, reliable, high quality building occupancy and patient carefunctions. Work in partnership with the College of Dentistry Dean and his team to ensure that capital construction projects and building maintenance activities support their strategic needs and support their clinical operations.Ensure appropriate application and implementation of University and Division of Operations policies, financial and service standards, and accounting rules to provide transparent financial accounting that ensures the best value is delivered to the College and University. Team with others in the Division of Operations and other units such as Public Safety to ensure regulatory and code compliance,and to meet patient care requirements, for all construction and operations.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, businessmanagement, public health or other relevant discipline.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Required Experience: Ten years of experience in a leadership position in facility operations, health care operations, construction management, asset management or other related field. Must include experience with managing healthcare facility operations and activities, budget administration, managing major projects and supervising unionized staff.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of the specialized nature of healthcare operations or other clinical facilities experience. Strong leadership, interpersonal, client relations, prioritization and management skills required. Experience with interacting at a senior level and good presentation skills required. Strong ethic of personalaccountability and financial transparency required. Ability to develop, interpret and articulate policies and procedures to internal and external communities. Knowledge of standards and statutes of regulatory agencies includingOSHA and Environmental Protection Agencies.
