Performs professional work directing the activities of a division which provides a broad range of management, architectural/engineering services, provides oversight and direction in the administration of, Project Delivery, Project Controls, Facilities Maintenance, construction contracts and construction services for the development and implementation of Capital Improvement Projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS.
Develops administrative and operational plans in conjunction with the Department Director in order to accomplish project completion.
Formulates and assists in the preparation of Capital Projects implementation strategy.
Prepares project status reports.
Coordinates architectural/engineering design with federal, state, City of San Antonio and surrounding municipalities, airport tenants, prospective tenants, parties and groups interested in undertaking project(s) on airport premises.
Compiles construction data and coordinates with federal, state, local City of San Antonio Departments, surrounding municipalities, public, private and franchised utility companies to expedite the relocation of utilities.
Leads/participates in the preparation of Requests for professional, personal services, equipment solicitations.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in Management Administration, Budget/Finance, or Capital Projects Administration, including knowledge of construction management.
Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
Must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment and a Criminal History Records check upon employment.
Must maintain federally mandated security clearance required to work at an airport at all times.
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or other related field.
Contract construction management experience on large capital construction projects.
At least five years' experience working in the field of Aviation related planning, design and construction.
Staff/supervisory experience managing design/engineer/technical staff of 3 or more personnel.
Knowledge and experience working with project management and controls software.
Knowledge and familiarity with FAA policies and procedures as it relates to Airport planning, funding, grants and construction.
