Job Summary:Project Manager
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Estimating, preparation of the phasing plans and project schedule.
Coordinating with our project support personnel to finalize the pricing of the projects.
Managing and scheduling contractors.
Reviewing the project plans and commenting on the design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential problems.
Ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Establishing and monitoring of budgets and observance of variance controls.
Manage site communications and issue resolution.
Overseeing construction and conducting periodic site inspections to ensure quality, timing, and adherence to standards.
Communicating with clients as needed.
Liaising with various internal contacts including the Contractors, Invoicing team, Site Supervisors and the Construction Manager to ensure projects are completed as per plan.
Hours of work: Days and nights as per project requirements.
Must have the ability to travel across the US for Project work.
Education and other skills
A two or four-year college education is preferred or equivalent experience in a multi-site facilities maintenance environment.
Bi-lingual or Tri-lingual language skills are an asset.
Ability to learn to meet the changing requirements of the position.
Advanced organization skills with the ability to prioritize ongoing tasks.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Contract negotiation and management skills.
Ability to manage strict capital expenditures.
Ability to negotiate with contractors and clients on cost of work and timelines.
Attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and have a vehicle to use for work.
Ability to work effectively and independently from a local Freshco office or remotely.
Other duties and qualities required for this position:
Participates in, and can be a lead spokesperson for, Freshco’s philanthropic initiatives.
Motivates and collaborates with other Freshco team members across North America.
Takes full accountability for their actions and reactions – wins and losses; demonstrating the ability to pivot under pressure and remain calm under fire to mobilize necessary partners and third parties to immediately address any issue.
Embraces and takes action towards supporting and being involved in the larger vision of the Division and Freshco overall, contributing ideas to advance their position, the Division and Freshco.
Consistently demonstrates a strong “intrapreneur” mind-set and related actions.
Embraces and participates in personal development coaching, and skill development in senior management, negotiations, advance industry knowledge, etc.
