The Role of the “Field Project Manager” Position:
The Field Project Manager is responsible for the management and development of the install and service team and will oversee the cost & quality of installation and service of division 8 and 10 projects in order to reach their revenue targets each month. This is an hourly position that reports to the Operations Manager.
Job Description:
Understanding the needs and goals of this organization and planning for improving our installation and service process with communications and education in our existing team and finding / developing new team members. Also providing extreme customer service to our internal and external customers.
In the event that the job includes both division 8 and 28 then the Field Project Manager will also need to be able to coordinate with PMs or security technicians to ensure division 8 and 28 jobs get installed properly.

Responsibilities:
• Manage door install technicians and door service technicians: hiring, training, assessments and reviews including disciplinary actions as needed.
• Manage door installation subcontractors in the field as needed.
• Make contact and communicate with customers once given project schedule information.
• Oversee field installations including site walks and pre-measuring to ensure site preparedness and quality control and punch walks post installation.
• Attend and participate in job site meetings as needed.
• Planning and scheduling for technicians.
• Assist in warehouse as needed for staging and tagging jobs to prepare for installation.
• May need to assist with complex or abundant installations or service as needed in the field.
• Manage tech tools and fasteners inventory.
• Tracking job labor to ensure jobs come in on time and at/under budget.
• Attend the POC meeting to discuss job status and cost.
• Building job scopes of work with the sales team.
• Troubleshooting and tech support for technicians.
Job Requirements:
Qualified applicants for the Installation Manager position will meet the minimum requirements, as described below:
• The successful candidate must be a proven self-starter, with minimum 3-5 years’ experience in division 8 & 10 – division 28 experience is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, personnel management, and project management or related field would be a plus.
• Must have excellent time management and organizational skills and be proficient (or able to quickly become proficient) in the following computer programs (Excel, Access, Word, Internet, Outlook, Power Point, CAD, E-Mullion, Microsoft Project and Microsoft AX, among others).
• Excellent oral, written communication and customer service skills are essential. This position requires a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and insurance.
