A Truck Driver – Class A CDL delivers merchandise to customers in a safe and courteous manner, always maintaining a professional attitude. This is a regional OTR driving position delivering to customers within Arkansas and the surrounding states. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and continuing to strive to push AECC and our mission forward.
Responsibilities
- Informs supervisor via daily calls on matters related to customer needs and other information that is needed to improve customer relations.
- Provides assistance in warehouse area as needed and helps in the inventory process as requested.
- Operates a commercial motor vehicle on a prescribed route to perform the pickup and delivery of merchandise to customers, picks up transformer units for repair and assists with the unloading of the merchandise.
- Abides by all state and federal D.O.T. and local regulations and maintains accurate records and log books.
- Maintains a professional manner and conducts business in a manner that is conducive to the image of the organization.
- Handles stress and works well with others.
Minimum Qualifications
- As a condition of employment, this position requires a post – offer, pre-employment Fitness for Duty Exam.
- In pursuant of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/AECI standards and processes.
- High school or GED, plus 2 years of OTR commercial driving experience and/or training.
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Safe Driving Record .
- Knowledgeable of all state laws and Federal DOT regulations that pertain to the operation of commercial vehicles.
- Ability to work additional hours if necessary, as well as report to work during non-working periods .
- Familiar with OSHA regulations that pertain to Warehousing.
- Familiar with freight manifest and other shipping documents.
