THE ROLE

The Supply Chain Manager assists the Director of Supply Chain in managing Grandstand's sourcing, purchasing and logistics functions. Additionally, this role will build and develop the skills of the planning, material purchasing, and scheduling teams through coaching, mentoring, and encouragement of self-learning to enable robustness and flexibility of the team to support Grandstand.

• Provide overall direction to the purchasing and logistics teams by analyzing business objectives and customer needs and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes; identifying and capitalizing on improvement.
• Locate new vendors and potential partnerships to source the products Grandstand sells to its customers, focusing largely on apparel and promotional products.
• Orchestrate supplier performance evaluation, determining and taking corrective action, as results require.
• Conduct negotiations including pricing, logistics, service level guarantees, and terms with suppliers to hit company margin goals.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work, approving leave requests and timesheets; developing functional cross training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Perform analysis and provide analytical support to improve quality, margin, ROI, or efficiency within the supply chain department.
• Optimize Grandstand's logistic processes to reduce customer freight expenses while maintaining a high level or operational excellence which drives sales.
• Responsible for the management of OTR truck drivers including safety compliance, scheduling, and approving time off requests, and solving day-to-day challenges.

THE ESSENTIALS

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management and three (3) years related work experience, or six (6) years related work experience post high school or GED.
• Three (3) + years' experience in supervisory role with a proven record of improving margins and profitability.
