Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- PASSIONATE DRAFTER - Must LOVE drawing and have a thorough understanding of how a drawing set goes together.
- ARTISTIC INTERIOR DETAILER – Specific industry knowledge of how things are built and how to apply it to fit the project's design vision, intent & budget.
- CAD GURU - Proficient in AutoCAD 2018 or later and Microsoft Office. Proficiency in Revit, 3d modeling/rendering, and knowledge of Photoshop is a plus.
- ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS – Comfortable with all architectural specifications from lighting to grab bars. Demonstrate an affinity for detailing.
- CONSULTANT COORDINATOR - Intimate knowledge of industry-standard project/construction process. Enjoys working with external sub-consultants and anticipates needs. Great scheduler/planner with amazing follow through and high commitment to QA/QC.
- CODE EXPERT – Knowledge of building codes, comfortable with code research and documentation for national projects.
- CA ENTHUSIAST - Understands industry standards and legal implications of contract documents. Knows how changes affect the project at each phase (Clouded, Tagged) and when to communicate changes to the client for quick decision making. Comfortable with reviewing all types of submittals.
- SKILLED PRIORITIZER - Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Preparation of deliverables for all project phases including, but not limited to: space plans, schematic design package, design development package, and construction documents.
- Assist your team with managing the overall scope, budget, and schedule for the project.
- Translate concepts and information into working drawings and details that conform to standard construction methods, project budgets, and T&T drawings standards.
- General understanding of building and accessibility codes and how to shepherd a project through the permitting process.
- Travel to project locations as needed for field verification, construction coordination, and contractor supervision. Typical travel frequency 1-2 times per month.
- Working knowledge of structural, architectural, civil, and MEP engineering to the extent necessary to coordinate and integrate these disciplines into the construction documents.
- Coordinate with General Contractor during the construction phase including bid review, submittal review, RFI responses, & site visits as required.
Job Type:
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in interior architectural design, documentation, detailing, and coordination.
- Experience in multi-family and hospitality is a plus. Workplace and medical office experience translate well.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Education:
- Bachelor of Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program.
