Walovich Architects Group currently has an opening for an Senior Project Architect to support forensic investigations, design, and document remediation solutions, and participate in construction phase architectural services.
Responsibilities and Duties
Participate in and record investigations: photos, observations, measurements, and findings
Research, develop and detail optimal technical solutions for construction problems
Prepare presentations of problems and solutions for clients and other stakeholders
Plan and deliver accurate, clear, concise, and complete construction documents
Learn and follow company standards and processes for quality control and record-keeping
Coordinate and incorporate inputs from engineers and specialist disciplines
Delegate appropriate tasks to junior staff and oversee their efforts
Maintain effective communication with Principal Architect and senior staff, giving regular updates
Occasional travel to project sites within 2 hours of Pleasanton may be required
Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with skill and experience ($45-55/hr.), including health insurance, PTO, 401k plan, continuing education, and a friendly, positive working environment.
Job Status: Full-Time, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Qualifications and Skills
5-10 years of professional working experience
Thorough understanding of construction and construction documentation
Field experience including building inspection and on-site construction management
Fluent in AutoCAD, experience with Bluebeam and Revit preferred
Familiarity with California Building Codes, ADA, other relevant standards
Excellent communication skills—listening, speaking, and writing
Ability to work with independent initiative, with good judgment translating goals into actions
Experience with building materials and CSI MasterFormat specifications
