Develops policies and guidelines for protecting natural resources, reducing the University’s ecological footprint, and ensuring accountability for “green” buildings and low-impact development in NMSU capital improvement program. Completes/manages required STARS and ACUPCC reporting. Supports University Architect in assistance in documenting Green Screen for buildings, and sustainability development for the campus system. Works with the project management team on construction projects requiring minimum LEED certification per NM executive order (EO 2006-001) to improve the energy efficiency and overall sustainability of new and renovated state-owned buildings.
