Director of Airports, Cleveland Airport System (Department of Port Control)
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (“CLE”, or the “Airport”) and Cleveland Buke Lakefront Airport (“BKL”) are owned by the City of Cleveland (the “City”) and operated by the City of Cleveland Department of Port Control (“DPC”). Today, CLE is Ohio’s busiest airport, serving more than 10 million passengers annually and generating $3.5 billion in annual economic development. It is positioned within 500 miles of 43 percent of the U.S. population. The Department of Port Control directly employs approximately 400 employees at the airports, but the system plays host to a further 9,000 on-airport jobs.
