Must have the ability to read and understand shop drawings.
Assists in the set-up, stripping, and changeover of precast production forms for different products as required.
Layout and install rebar. Set and tie rebar.
Caulk the formwork when needed.
Assist in concrete pouring, screening, oiling, and spraying retardant. Assist in patching finished concrete products, as necessary.
Assist in cleaning procedures for all production forms.
Assist in inventory procedures when necessary.
Operate battery-powered and other small hand tools.
With proper training, operate overhead crane when necessary.
Operate core machine and construct flow channels.
Assist in the layout of dunnage on trailers for placement of finished products for shipping.
Maintains clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other routine duties.
Must work within the attendance policy guidelines.
Ability to certify on forklift operation, previous experience preferred.
High Diploma or Equivalent.
Carpentry and/or concrete finishing experience; 1+ years’ experience in a precast environment, a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while following safety procedures
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Good visual acuity.
Willingness and flexibility to assist team with all types of work.
Must be able to read a tape measure and have general construction knowledge.
Must have a good grasp of the precast production process and are responsible for everyday tasks.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
