Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced & ambitious Program Manager to partner with a leading client in the technology industry on the development and standardization of their Technology Research and Development Lab of the Future Programs. As the leader on this team, the selected candidate will:
Spearhead strategic and cross-functional improvement programs by defining strategic intent of programs and overseeing concepts from a preliminary requirement through its successful conclusion
Provide subject matter expertise on infrastructure design and development for lab implementation supporting multigeneration product lines
Define the goals of these concepts in terms of future need, scope, time, and cost deliverable development to ensure project goals are met
Manage the design, permitting, and construction of the projects through the use of established processes, experience, and expertise
Be assertive, with strong leadership and communications skills, demonstrated success at prioritizing multiple engineering needs with operational realities. Adept at partnering with key stakeholders throughout the vertical management chain in all aspects of design and construction
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead high visibility concepts, programs and projects
Assist with strategic direction of the account and internal program and process improvements
Manage day-to-day client interactions, relationships and expectations
Manage & develop the on-site projects team
Partner with local integrated facilities management team
Demonstrate a deep understanding of facilities systems for clear communication of project needs
Play a critical leadership, coordination, and communication role with all stakeholders
Display a working knowledge of MEP concepts, systems and designs in regard to manufacturing, data centers and laboratory environments
Provide recommendations toward value engineering, scope of work review and solid understanding of industry benchmarking
Responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing projects
Optimize process, procedure and project delivery for all projects and project phases
Ensure the project plan, scope, work structure, schedule, and budget are maintained by all the involved parties (e. g. , consultants, engineers, architects, vendors, stakeholders, etc.)
Prepare agendas, develop and maintain master project budgets and timelines for each project and project phase, while gaining approvals from all relevant project stakeholders
Develop ROM level project estimates for funding approval based on project program documents
Regularly monitor the progress of all projects by completing site visits, tracking procurement activities, and reviewing GC weekly reports
Select and manage project team and resources including subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and partners through bidding and vendor selection processes
Conduct project meetings (including taking and sharing minutes), track deliverables assigned in meetings, coordinate project updates/reports and drawing reviews at conceptual, schematic, design development and construction phases of project
Review and approve requisitions, change orders and invoices associated with the project
Adhere to Client and C&W policies and procedures, obtain necessary approvals, understand local permitting processes and obtain final approvals and final acceptance

Requirements
Role based in Austin, Texas but a remote role will be considered for the right candidate
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline preferred
Project or construction management experience in a high-tech environment required
Experience with managing technical infrastructure with respect to MEPSF systems preferred or any similar combination of education and experience
Innovative
Certification in PE, AIA, LEED, or CMAA preferred
Solid understanding of the construction industry, terminology, codes, documentation, and design disciplines
Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite
Proficiency with project management tools
Willing/able to travel 25%
Strong organization with proven leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Detail oriented and thorough
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Physical Requirements
Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day
Involves climbing roof ladders periodically
May involve periods of standing, such as operating at a copier/fax/scanner
Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type
Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing
Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand
Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays
