Advertised Job Summary:
Executes development and coordination of major or significant infrastructure and renovation projects through the planning, design, bidding, construction, and close out phases including but not limited to meeting with clients, A/E consultants and Facilities leadership; determining scope and duration; coordinating A/E procurement, cost estimates, and feasibility studies; implementing established budget and schedule to meet program needs and limitations; negotiating to gain consensus and final approval; and providing summary reports and direction to all parties involved.
Provides comprehensive guidance to customers in the procurement of professional design services and construction services as expeditiously as possible, in a manner best suited to their needs, and infill compliance with the Consolidated Procurement Code. Monitors state projects during construction to ensure the work complies with the building codes by reviewing inspection reports submitted by 3rd party inspectors and design professionals for notations of deficiencies and corrective action taken on deficiencies. Physically inspects all construction project sites for compliance with the design drawings, campus standards and quality expectations.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and 6 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience; or at least 10 years of professional construction management experience.
