The Computer Science department has twelve tenured or tenure-track positions and also employs a fixed-term and a few adjunct instructors. Current areas of research in the department include software engineering, data management and mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cognitive computing, information retrieval, programming languages, and computer science education. The department offers five degree programs: a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering, and Master's degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, and Software Engineering. Approximately 550 undergraduate and 80 graduate students are enrolled in these programs.

The teaching load for this position is 12 credit hours per semester. Successful candidate will be expected to commit to high-quality teaching and active engagement with undergraduate students. The position requires teaching primarily undergraduate courses in the B.S. in Software Engineering program. The position also requires participation in on-campus and off-campus student recruitment events and mentoring undergraduate students.

M.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required for Teaching Instructor position.
