POSITION: Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has multiple openings for a Project Planning & Controls 2 in Berkeley, CA.

Duties: Provides project planning and control capability to Project Managers (PMs) and/or Principal Investigators (PIs). Applies a broad range of project management and controls practices as applicable during the life cycle of projects from conception to closeout [e.g. DOE Order 413.3X (Program and Project Management for the Acquisition of Capital Assets; DOE Guide 413.3-10 (Earned Value Management System), the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK/Project Management Institute); as well as other LBNL policies and procedures as appropriate]. Identifies and applies specialized project management and controls procedures needed to advance the project through the DOE Critical Decision (CD) process. May represent project planning and controls to External Independent Review (EIR) panels sponsored by the DOE/OECM or other external or internal entities.

Benefits: This full salary range of this position is between $83,844 to $141,492 per year depending upon candidates' full skills, knowledge, and abilities, including education, certifications, and years of experience.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Analytics or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a business-related occupation. Position requires:

1. Generation of cost estimates, project schedules and project plans;

2. Develops and maintains reporting data to produce project reports;

3. Preparing financial data and ensure the cost module is kept up to date;

4. Perform progress updates and analysis to include comprehensive reporting to project team and management; and

5. PM software.
