Organizational Unit Overview:
The College of Engineering and Technology is comprised of the departments of Computer Science, Construction Management, Engineering, and Technology Systems. Faculty and /staff in the College provide high-quality graduate and undergraduate degree opportunities and research and service programs that enable students to achieve their career goals and that promote a strong, sustainable future for our region.
Job Duties:
CMGT Student Services (both undergraduate and graduate) 20%
Assist with course scheduling
Create and maintain graduating student lists and alumni records
Assist scholarship and work experience committee chairs
Assist student organization and honor society officers and advisors
Process travel documentation for students
Student Employment 20%
Monitor student work hours and approve time cards via Kronos
Prepare and process hiring paperwork for self-help students and graduate assistants
Create and maintain student employment files
CMGT Faculty Services 20%
Process travel documentation for faculty
Assist with textbook ordering
Participate in planning and execution of departmental and college events, including meetings, seminars, and student recognition ceremonies
Administrative Support 20%
Monitor and schedule appointments for the Department Chair as needed
Provide secretarial support as needed for Department Chair, Graduate Program Director, and Undergraduate Program Director
Make updates to Departmental website as requested and manage social media pages
Secretarial/Office Management 20%
Enter facilities work orders
Assist with room reservations
Maintain office equipment, supplies, etc.
Greet departmental visitors and provide information as requested in-person and via phone/email
Purchase equipment/supplies as requested for general use and research/grant purposes
Assist with inventory verification and surplus requests
Minimum Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
